The two tools below are the closest like-for-like comparison: dedicated client-gallery delivery tools for photographers, not general file-sharing or portfolio sites. ShootProof's plans include sales tools, contracts, and invoicing that Larkspur doesn't have in this version. If you need those, ShootProof does more out of the box today. If you just need a private gallery to deliver photos and a fair storage price, a light month on Larkspur is likely cheaper than jumping to ShootProof's next photo-count tier just because you're a few hundred photos over.

Like ShootProof, Pixieset bundles a storefront, print sales, and branding tools into its paid tiers. Larkspur doesn't have those in this version; if storefront and print sales matter to you today, Pixieset likely does more out of the box.
A general-purpose cloud storage or file-sharing plan (a personal Dropbox, Google Drive, or a raw S3 bucket you manage yourself) is usually cheaper per GB in isolation, but you're building the private-link, password-protection, and zip-download flow yourself, or doing without it. Larkspur's per-GB rate includes that delivery layer already built.
If you want sales tools, contracts, and a client storefront bundled in, ShootProof or Pixieset's paid tiers do more today than Larkspur's first version. If you specifically want a clean, private gallery for delivery at a price that scales with actual usage rather than jumping between fixed tiers, that's what Larkspur is built for.
