Larkspur costs £99 once at signup, then £0.02 per GB of storage per month, with no tiers, no seat limits, and no per-client fee. Both numbers are starting prices for early access and may change before general launch; check your dashboard for the price on your account.
Most gallery-delivery tools charge per client, per active gallery, or in storage tiers that round up to the next bracket whether you use it or not. Larkspur bills a single number: how many gigabytes you're storing, measured directly from real storage data every night, not an estimate. Store less, pay less. There's no cap that forces an upgrade conversation.
The £99 setup fee is a one-time charge at signup. It unlocks your account: unlimited client galleries, no additional per-gallery cost. After that, your only ongoing charge is storage.
A typical wedding gallery of a few hundred edited JPEGs is commonly in the region of a few GB, though this varies a lot with resolution and edit style, so treat this as a rough shape rather than a quote. At £0.02/GB/month, storing 5GB costs 10p that month. The bill scales directly with what's actually stored; there's no rounding up to a bracket.
Running your own storage (a cloud bucket, a NAS, a generic file-sharing plan) usually means either a flat monthly fee regardless of how much you're using, or a manual setup you maintain yourself: access control, link expiry, download handling. Larkspur's per-GB pricing means a light month costs less, and the whole delivery flow (private link, password, individual and zip download) is already built, so there's no separate tool or manual configuration to maintain.
